Transport strike April 1, 2011 Rome, Milan: Opening protected bands, car traffic chaos

Public transport strike taking place in today's day Friday, April 1, 2011: buses, subways, trains and trams are still for most of the day, to join in the protest organized by labor unions against the seven non-renewal of contract of employment and national cuts in public transport sector. This is a strike by many "huge" that will create enormous economic damage to the economy of the country and make it hard for millions of people.

The schedules of the protected bands of the strike means in large cities are as follows: the resumption of service in Rome between 17:30 and 20:00; in Milan between 15:00 and 18:00; in Naples from 17 : 00 and 20:00 in Turin between 12:00 and 15:00; in Bari between 12:30 and 15:30, in Palermo between 17:40 and 00:00; in Bologna between the 16:30 and 19:30; in Genoa between 17:00 and 21:00.

It seeks to protect the bands closing of the workday. Advise motorists to move their own during these protected groups, or to refrain from attending in downtown areas or to adapt their way on foot to a piece to go in case of areas with a high risk of paralyzing traffic, you'll see that 15 minutes feet will save maybe 1 hour of traffic.

To avoid the Rome Ring Road: you've seen before, and yet provided, queuing is a high level of discomfort for the movement.
