Engine of the Year 2011: Fiat wins Twin, here are the awards

Great satisfaction for the Fiat 900 cc twin engine TwinAir wins Engine of the Year 2011, to which we add the recognition of Green Engine of the Year and Best Engine 2011 for the category below the liter. On the web we read in the derby between Italy and Germany, and for good reason, given that BMW has adopted the title of the best engine in its class with up to 4-liter V8 engine to the BMW M3, but has yet to win the Italian Ferrari the category of over 4 liters with the prize awarded to the Best Performance Engine Ferrari 458 Italy.

Even Germany, with Volkswagen's trademark is its category of Best Engine between 1 and 1.4 liters. Let us return to the Italian: the Fiat Powertrain TwinAir mounted on the Fiat 500 and the new Lancia Ypsilon has largely convinced the jury of Engine of the Year 2011, composed of 76 journalists from 36 different countries.

Available for less than a year on the Fiat 500, the engine TwinAir crown this award booking a spot starring in the new range of Fiat Group. Among these, the new Fiat Panda and the new Evo, as well as the new Lancia Ypsilon which we've said before. Congratulations again to the gem TwinAir Fiat, which plans to be produced 250,000 units per year since 2012.

Will he make it?
