BMW: Incoming Series 2 and 4 Series coupe and cabriolet

BMW seems determined to include in its portfolio the brand new Series 2 and Series 4. It is not this a time to explore new market niches, but rather a marketing decision to enhance the coupe and cabriolet already exist. CarMagazine fact confirms what has long been in the air: the derivatives of the new coupe and convertible Series 1 Series 2 will take the name with design codes F22 and F23, while the same versions of the new 3 Series will take the name F30 Series 4 with project codes F32 and F33.

For the Series 4 is also expected to F35, sedan variant of the 6 Series coupe sister Gran Coupe, while there is no mention of the 3 Series variant GT. Series 2 and Series 4 is likely to debut in 2013 with the variants coupe, followed in 2014 by a convertible, then with time, longer than a starting point: the new 1 Series F20 is a reality and will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, while the new F30 Series 3 will be unveiled in late 2011, with companies likely to debut in March 2012 at Geneva.
