Maserati: incoming variant of the twin-turbo V6 Pentastar

Some sources close to Maserati revealed the Americans that the Maserati InsideLine will soon adopt a variant of the twin-turbo V6 Pentastar, engine recently launched models freshest Chrysler Group, with a displacement of 3.6 liter naturally aspirated. The news itself is not new: already three weeks ago were talking about the debut of this unit on the so-called "baby Quattroporte, a sedan segment and next debut.

But apparently she will not just be to use the six-cylinder USA. According to reports gathered by colleagues from overseas, the twin-turbo V6 is even intended to replace the 4.2 and 4.7 V8 currently adopted by the Quattroporte, GranTurismo and GranTurismo. The unit will be chosen by the Modena also smaller than the naturally aspirated 3.6.

For the record, we are talking about a 3.0, probably more likely to speed up and pull out the attributes in areas of high RPM, relative to the engine from which it derives.
