Unchanged suspension segment, based on a multi-link rear axle combined with MacPherson front. At the rear the car sports a new wing aerodynamic truck that comes out automatically at 80 km/h to fold when the speed drops below 60. In this case, the Coupe is the first Mini to adopt a similar system to increase downforce at high speeds.

Large boot, with a load volume of 280 liters (20 more than the Clubman). Under the hood of a battery of engines with outputs ranging between 122 and 211 hp, turbo diesel engine. With power supply there is the 1.6-liter 122 hp at 6000 rpm and 160 Nm at 4250, capable of covering the 0-100 km/h in 9 seconds to go 204 km/h and ensure an average consumption of 5.4 litres/100km with CO2 emissions of 127g/km.

The more aggressive the S version, which incorporates the same turbocharged engine version: 184 hp at 5500 rpm for maximum torque of 240 Nm between 1600 and 5000 rpm. The 0-100 km/h in this case is covered in 6.9 seconds while top speed is 230 km/h, with average consumption and emissions, respectively, of 5.8 L/100 km and 136 g/km.
