Who does not love tuning exaggeration, typical of the great German history, will appreciate the latest work by an employee in the sector, Kicherer, who, despite belonging to the country of processing more daring, Germany, in fact, for this prepared sample has a few but interesting changes that do not upset at all the elegance of the suv in Stuttgart.
The basic as you can see is that of a Mercedes-Benz GL 420 CDI for which the preparer has developed and implemented a package called the GL Sport Black 42. The matte black is not only the color of the body chosen for this release, but also tinged with the front grille and the logo of the three-pointed star (also tinted rear windows).
The cosmetic changes also see the adoption of new alloy wheels Vogue 5-spoke 22-inch fitted with 295/35 R 22 tires and new exhaust split, on the side. Then a few changes such as those prepared by the rest of the Kicherer engineers V8 engine, where power and torque have been increased, respectively, reaching 380 hp and 900 Nm (4.2 liters instead of series develops 306 horsepower and 700 Nm).
An increase on the whole not excessive, given what we have used other tuners over the years (for example, here is the elaboration of the model according to Brabus.) They make the rest of the introduction of a new exhaust system and some changes to the Airmatic suspension system from Mercedes-Benz, in line with a more casual use of the car.
