Suzuki presents the 2011 Living in New York two new concept car based on its midsize sedan, the Kizashi. The most interesting of the two proposals is (at least for environmentalists ...) EcoCharge the Concept, which foreshadows a possible application of hybrid technology as standard on this car. EcoCharge The Kizashi is powered by a 2.0 four-cylinder, combined with a compact electric motor of 20 hp, which is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack.
Thanks also to start & stop, the regenerative braking system and the low rolling resistance tires, according to Suzuki, the EcoCharge can consume 25% less than a comparable conventional engine with Kizashi. Among its features are aesthetic reported the unusual front lights, LEDs (which encumbers a bit 'look) and the exclusive body color.
