Toyota and Microsoft together for telematic services

The Toyota Motor Corporation and Microsoft have given the news of a new partnership between companies, once the production of Windows Azure, a platform for next-generation telematics services to be installed on the cars of the Japanese House. "This collaboration further validates the potential of the cloud platform, as Windows Azure will provide the necessary system to TMC to provide advanced telecommunication services on their vehicles," said the CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer.

Electric vehicles and plug-in will feature products from Toyota, from 2012, GPS, an energy management system and a host of other multimedia devices. The objective of Toyota is to create a global cloud deck complete by 2015, for the integrated control of energy consumption in a social network with low carbon emissions that connects people, vehicles and homes.

"This new partnership between Microsoft and Toyota represents an important step in the development of future sustainable mobility and energy management for our customers around the world. The creation of ever more advanced and efficient is an important part of our contribution to society, "said Akio Toyoda, president of TMC.

"This contribution can only be achieved through the development of a new relationship between vehicle users and intelligent energy management systems."
