The chief executive of Aston Martin, Ulrich Bez, has hinted that the next generation of models could go back a classic production house, the six-cylinder. According to Bez, the current VH platform, upon which all models are built today, still has many years of career ahead of him. "A further evolution, not revolution is the key to future developments," said the manager.
It is on this platform so it should be the return of the "straight six". Bez is described as "extremely concerned" for such an operation, and talking about it made it clear that it had already very clear ideas about it. The manager has made explicit reference to the creation of a "six-cylinder from about 2.5 liter engine with direct injection and turbo.
"We will not have housing problems because on the V12 VH mount already," said Bez.
