And so in the Geneva Motor Show 2011 with a 'crossover' which will be the first model designed by the brand and to be followed by a sedan and a coupe. What do you think? After a slight touchdown in a 'teaser' and the Geneva Motor Show about to open its doors, De Tomaso shows the first images of its first project, the 'crossover' SLC (Sport Luxury Car). This prototype is the first of the fruits that we enjoy in the resurrection of the Italian manufacturer and will soon be joined by a sedan and a coupe.
The SLC designation will not be the final name of the production model to be unveiled on 1 March in the Swiss sample. Designed by Pininfarina Design Center and halfway between a sedan and an SUV, this prototype comes to rival so little explored that segment opened by the BMW 5 Series GT.
De Tomaso not provide new data from the SLC (Sport Luxury Car), information is the same that we published last week. Have two petrol engines, a V8 of 550 hp and 300 hp V6, although there are rumors that amount to a third six-cylinder diesel version into V and 247 hp and even talk of a hybrid variant.
It is also known to have been conceived on an aluminum platform that will serve to develop the other two projects announced. Production will begin this year and is projected production of 3,000 units annually. Regarding the price is shuffled around 85,000 euros.
