Just a few days after news of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show the new generation of Volkswagen Golf convertible comes the response from another German company that announces the arrival of a future model with a retractable roof. This is Opel, which said that the Astra convertible will arrive in 2013, eight years after the launch of Twin Top, signed last car from the "old" Bertone.
The new Opel Astra convertible will expand the family of the German media and will use the same platform versions of the 5-door and station wagon (with the necessary modifications to address the lack of roof). No word yet if the roof is hard or a more conventional (and cheap) fabric hood.
