Convertible Bentley Supersports Ice Speed Record

Motor Show presents GinevraBentley Supersports "Ice Speed Record" Convertible, Limited Edition and the celebration of the ice speed record beaten by a few days ago Supersports Continental Convertible, driven by Juha Kankkunen. The car has reached the 330.695 km / h over a distance of 16.5 kilometers, on a layer of ice 70 cm and temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius.

Its twin-turbo W12 with 640 hp was powered by bioethanol E85. The "Ice Speed Record" will be built in only 100 individuals motivated by W12 that well capable of delivering 800 Nm of torque managed by Quickshift 6-speed automatic transmission. Exhilarating performance with a 0-100 km / covered in just 3.8 seconds and capable of touching 160 km / h in 9.5 seconds.

The injection of power compared to "normal" W12 unit is ensured by a new intake and exhaust system and a new mapping of the electronic control unit and a more efficient intercooler. The recovery from 80 to 120 km / h in 2.5 seconds is burned. Like the car that broke the record, this limited edition can be powered by gasoline, ethanol and any combination of the two.

Responsible FlexFuel technology that allows a drastic reduction of pollutant emissions. As usual, the transmission uses a 4 × 4 system with Torsen center differential (asymmetric torque distribution 40% front and 60% at the rear). The car is based on alloy rims 20 '10-spoke with 275/35 Pirelli tires.

The braking system is structured around instead of carbon-ceramic discs 420mm front and 356 rear bitten by pumping the front calipers to 8. Three colors available for the body, (Beluga, Quartzite and Arctic White) combined with three-piece hood-color Dark Grey Metallic.
