Opel will premier at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 (3-13 March), the Zafira Tourer Concept, prototype, almost anticipating the final form of the future appreciation of the MPV generation in Germany. The new concept, defined by the same manufacturer Teutonic "lounge on wheels", offers a compact size a cockpit designed for seven people, spacious and adaptable thanks to the evolution of the Flex7 system that allows you to fold the seats or turn as needed to load or habitability.
Aesthetically, the Zafira Tourer follows the stylistic opened dall'elettrica Ampera. The front is characterized by the arrow-shaped headlamps incorporating fog lights return to the same concept used by Ampera, while the vertical tail has a large rear window that ends with the tail lights linked by a chrome strip along.
Obviously the most interesting part of the car and the passenger compartment that offers few square meters in the comfort and well-being of a true living room on wheels. The interiors have a large glass area characterized by a panorama windshield that combines into a single element to the glass roof, giving it an unprecedented brightness.
At night the cabin can be illuminated by a series of LED lights positioned around the perimeter of the roof, which can vary in intensity, creating an effect or suffused with light as needed. As mentioned earlier, this prototype proudly presents the evolution of the practical system Flex7.
The third row of seats can be folded flush with the floor as they did for the previous version, even if the new concept just the touch of a button to perform the operation. In addition, the center seat of the second row can essre down into a comfortable armrest, while the other seats can be moved longitudinally so as to give more or less legroom, which also enjoy comfortable footrest.
The passenger comfort is also ensured by technological restraints divided into three parts and reclining to 90 degrees, all in an electric. All these facilities are of course filled with all this technology. The center console separating the driver and front passenger has a large touch screen from which you can control the multi-zone air conditioning system and multimedia system that incorporates the powerful hi-fi and satellite navigation system.
Rear passengers are pampered by tablet PCs located behind the front seats that can be tilted as desired to allow a convenient Internet browsing, as well as watching films and the use of any multimedia application. The Zafira compact Tourer Concept is equipped with a supercharged 1.4-liter engine with Stop & Start technology.
