The new Opel Astra convertible and will have its own variation on the European market debut in 2013. Not yet it is certain, but the Opel Astra Cabriolet 2013 should see a return to the original roof: the metal. This tendency to return to the metal roof, leaving the canvas, is depopulated also among other car makers, see Golf Cabriolet.
The Astra Cabrio will have as its starting point that of the sedan, because the changes in design and techniques will be very few. As far as the production is already known that the Cabriolet will be produced at Opel in Gliwice in Poland.
