Ford B-Max Concept

The Ford Fusion will be replaced within the next few months of unusual B-Max MPV, presented as a concept car next to the Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March). The small blue oval MPV comes from the Fiesta and measures 5.4 meters in length and 1:59 in height, 11 cm in both axes more than the Fiesta sedan. This increase in size allowed us to obtain a sufficient interior volume for the five passengers, conformed to stow long items up to 2.35 meters thanks to the split and folding bench with a ratio of 40:60.

Ford B-Max Concept introduces a very special way to the door opening, producing a gap of 1.5 meters without the encumbrance of the central pillar, replaced - at least in the functionality - from high-strength boron steels to drown in the doors so as to absorb the forces generated by the impact.

You then have a proper system to take to seal the junction between the roof, doors and floor. Martin Smith, head of design for Ford Europe, has revealed that goalkeeper asymmetric free-pillar "are ready for production line." Under the hood is a new three-cylinder gasoline engine from a liter EcoBoost, already seen under the hood of the Start and equipped with direct injection, turbo and supercharging system with variable valve timing.

This change also Powershift dual-clutch 6-speed.
