F1: Red Bull will mount the engines Infiniti

A few weeks before the start of the Formula 1 world championship - which opens in Bahrain was planned but instead will roll over to Melbourne last weekend of March - the Infiniti brand is preparing to land in the world championship circuit of the car. This is the luxury brand of Nissan, will equip the engines of the two Red Bull RB7di Vettel and Webber.

The ambition is obviously twofold: on the one hand, there is yet to excel on the international circuits on the other to gain visibility and attention of consumers in Europe, where, three years after its launch, the brand is still positioned as hoped. The operation, in fact, provides that the cars in question remain the Renault V8 engine, but that will be renamed with the name of the Japanese manufacturer, we recall, 44% is owned by its manufacturer Alps whose CEO, Carlos Ghosn , has long been pointing to tie Infiniti to Formula 1.

For Red Bull, the agreement will pocket about 8-9 million, resulting from a discount on the cost of providing the engine. The official date of the transaction could be tomorrow, antevigilia inauguration of the Geneva Motor Show.
