BMW i8: new spy photos

New for BMW spyshots i8: this time the new hybrid supercar from the German shows during the course of the winter testing in Sweden. The last time we had seen, unveiled during a photo shoot on a famous Formula 1 circuit in Arabic. The design is clearly inspired by the Vision EfficientDynamics concept presented at the IAA 2009.

As seen on the Frankfurt show car, the car is configured as a 2 +2 is capable of covering the 0-100 km / h in 4.8 seconds with fuel consumption of 3.8 liters per 100 km. The latest rumors, however, appear that the German manufacturer has decided to replace the drive endothermic features on the concept: Instead of the known 3-cylinder 1.5 turbo diesel (on this concept), it could end up a more conventional 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.

Probably made a choice to make it more "digestible" the car to the American public. Needless to say, with a price probably more than € 150,000, the car will be at the top of the range "i" of the Bavarian manufacturer. Price also explained by an aluminum frame with carbon fiber passenger cell.
