2011 Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass 2011 is preparing for the European debut: the small American crossover, especially in the updated look of the front, now very similar to that of the Grand Cherokee, Italians reach the showrooms in March. New bumper, spoiler in body color, LED marker lamps, silver molding at the base of the tailgate and chrome exhaust tailpipe standard on Limited: these are the main stylistic innovations.

Complete the construction of new external roof rails, alloy wheels 17 "standard on Sport and the 18" on the Limited. The interior also features new upholstery on front doors, made of soft touch materials, a new center armrest and a new multifunction steering wheel that allows you to use radio, cruise control, speakerphones and other features.

Among other innovations, the unusual seat coverings. 2011 Jeep Compass Standard equipment includes air conditioning, electric windows, central locking, electric heated exterior mirrors, illuminated cup holders, keyless start system, fog lamps, speed control and tinted windows. Optional features include an electric sunroof and the system audio with nine speakers Boston Acoustics.

In Italy the new Jeep Compass is equipped exclusively with the new 2.2 turbo diesel, which replaces the previous 2.0 original Volkswagen. Combined with the six-speed manual transmission and the Freedom Drive I four-wheel drive, the 2.2 delivers 163 hp and higher values by 16% and 3% compared to the old unit.

With the new engine, meets the Euro 5, 12% improved acceleration and fuel consumption on the combined cycle down to 6.6 l/100 km. The engine will also be available in powerstep 136 bhp and 320 Nm, in unique combination with front-wheel drive. The Compass 2011 has a recalibrated suspension and larger diameter rear stabilizer bar.

In Italy, the model will be marketed in the preparations Sport and Limited. Both versions will be available in front-wheel drive configuration and the four wheel drive system. Produced at its plant in Belvidere, Illinois, USA, the crossover SUV will reach showrooms in early March, for commercial distribution scheduled for April.
