Auction in Paris a century of vintage cars

The auction of vintage cars that will be held this weekend at the Grand Palais in Parigiattirerà visitors, fans and even interested buyers. Yes, because in the halls of eighteenth-century Parisian building - home to the first Motor Show in history in 1901 - will be exhibited around ninety vintage cars, some of which will be auctioned for a value that can be achieved, individually, even one million Euro.

The organizer of the event, Bonhams, will lead a Bugatti Type 51 estimated at between 600 and 800,000 euros, a Rolls-Royce Phantom that carried King George V of England and an Aston Martin DB2 / 4 owned by King Baudouin of Belgium. Besides, there will be a racing Porsche 906 and a red Cadillac convertible of the '50s, which belonged to Alfred Heineken, the founder of the famous beer.

We could not miss the Prancing Horse's Ferrari, who will attend with the 330 GT 2 +2, owned by John Lennon, who bought it in 1965 when he took the license. Its current owner, at the last minute withdrew from venditaperché attacked by a sudden sense of nostalgia: the visitors, therefore, can only admire.

"All cars - said the expert of the auto auction house - were always kept in order with a meticulous attention."
