Bentley: a special series to celebrate the record of 330 km / h on ice

A Bentley Continental Convertible Supersports, driven by Juha Kankkunen, has established a record speed of 330.695 km / h on ice. The test took place over a distance of 16.5 kilometers, on a layer of ice 70 cm and temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius, very extreme conditions for testing the Bentley W12 engine from 630 hp bioethanol E85.

The fundamental contribution of four-wheel drive and snow tires 275/40R20 Pirelli SottoZero II, while the car was modified only with the adoption of a safety roll bar and a parachute, as well as slightly modified spoiler. To celebrate this important record, Bentley will present at the Geneva Motor Show a special series of 100 specimens, of which details are still unknown.

The President Wolfgang Dürheimer has merely stated that the car will mount the most powerful engine of history Bentley, then a few more horses out of 630 released by the Supersports.
