The next generation of the Ford GT supercar should be equipped with a hybrid engine by as many as 600 horses. Despite its hybrid engine, the Ford GT does not give to be a sports car and stands on a par with other hybrids such as: Porsche 918 Spyder and Porsche GT3 R Hybrid. The engine should be a 5.4-liter V8 with dual electric 500-hp and 100 hp, the latter connected to the front axle.
In addition to having a hybrid engine so advanced, the Ford GT will be about 200 kg lighter thanks to an aluminum chassis and composite panels. Before you put it into practice will most likely have to wait a little longer 'to the high costs of production and development.
