Geneva 2011: Volkswagen celebrates world premiere of the Golf Cabriolet

Volkswagen presented at the 81st Geneva Motor Show (1st-13.03.2011), the new Golf Cabriolet. The four-seater has an innovative soft-top that works electro-hydraulically and the Gulf opened in just 9.5 seconds and a speed of 30 km / h Calls. The presale starts tomorrow in Germany at an introductory price of 23 625 euros.

The design follows that of the closed, three-door counterparts, but as the result of the new rear end, the flatter roof line and the steeper windshield frame is extremely distinctive. A special dynamic is created when the convertible is ordered with the optional Bi-Xenon headlights. Always included as standard: the LED taillights in the style of the GTI.

Likewise, always caring for the safety on board and comfort are the automatically extending rollover protection, front and side Kopf-/Thoraxairbags, a knee airbag for the driver's side and the ESP. For the drive of the Golf Cabriolet six turbo direct injection engine available with a range of 77 kW / 105 PS to 155 kW / 210 PS to vote.

Four of the gasoline (TSI) and diesel (TDI) will be available with the dual-clutch DSG gearbox, three with BlueMotion technology.
