Mazda MX-5 in the Guinness World Record

The Mazda MX-5 Miata, or, as is known in some markets, has just set a new Guinness World Record for what the sales for a two-seater sports car. The Mazda MX-5 has won the award for its 900 thousand units sold. If back in May 2000, the Mazda MX-5 sales were 531,890, the trend of continued growth of the sport east until you reach the enviable share of 900 thousand cars sold.

The number 900,000 units of Mazda MX-5 was purchased by a German client who probably, at the time of purchase could not be entered into the history books of Mazda and the Guinness World Record. However the success of the Mazda MX-5 has lasted since 1989, the date of production of the first MX-5.

Since then, although 22-year career, the Mazda MX-5 restyling and some suffered two minor updates that have ever won one aspect in step with the times. And the results continue to see.
