McLaren MP4-12C: technical data

The new home of McLaren supercar, the MP4-12C, has just completed the homologation tests, so the manufacturer has decided to disseminate the technical details of its new car, in production since February 2 and on sale at a price of € 201,680. The engine of the McLaren MP4-12C is a V8 Twin Turbo 3.8-liter capable of unleashing 600 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm, the consumption of 11.7 liters per hundred km.

Its performance record, the McLaren MP4-12C, is from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.3 seconds, while it touches the 200 km / h in 9.1 seconds, covering the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at a speed which leaves of 216 km / hour! Standing start, it takes 19.1 seconds to travel one mile to where it exits at a speed of 272 km / h, while maximum speed is 330 km / h.

McLaren MP4-12C has a dry weight of 1,336 kg and held an impressive power to weight ratio of no less than 461 hp per metric ton, also the impressive stopping distance, as this MP4-12C requires only 30.5 meters to stop from speed 100 km / h. Compared to the Ferrari F458 Italy McLaren MP4-12C is lighter (1,380 kg for Ferrari), better acceleration (3.4 seconds for the F458) and fastest (325 km / h for Italy), better even in the mile holder (19.60 seconds for the car from Maranello), the better the time to stop McLaren from 100 km / h top speed (31.9 meters for Ferrari).
