New Ford Focus RS: a diesel likely

Despite being a sports car in every respect, the Ford Focus RS could be fitted with a diesel engine. Nevertheless, the Ford RS will retain its characteristics, but fail to reduce operating costs associated with a gasoline engine. The first opportunity that presents itself is to adopt the 2.2-liter TDCi engine, bringing the power of over 200 horses, although it will be difficult to get the 300 hp Ford Focus RS is expected to reach.

If the Focus ST should be ready for 2012, we are sure that the RS should go even further, so the ideas are only hypotheses on the engine. Suffice it to say that the Focus ST adopts the 2-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder with 240 hp, then still a good power for a car that is not RS. The English, after the success of sales and reservations made by the RS 500, hopes to repeat the glories of his last two models sport.
