New maxi recall for Toyota: the defect of a clip of the roof panel of the carpet to the center console from the driver's side, will cause the recall of 2.17 million vehicles worldwide. In particular, the carpet covering, if it is set incorrectly, may cause interference with the pedal cover. The flaw affects particularly the Lexus RX produced from 2003 to 2006: short-owners will be contacted throughout the world.
In Italy the vehicles involved are 5287, while in the U.S. is 860,000 copies. The repair involves verifying el 'eventual replacement of the clips and the subsequent replacement of the cladding panel. Obviously, the action is free. It 'important to stress that there have been no accidents due to this defect.
