In 2013, according AutoBild, Peugeot might launch a new car, a sedan-coupe-range. The new model should be called the Peugeot 601 and should be positioned just above the new 508 then sending the 607 retirement, still struggling with some difficulties in sales. The Peugeot 601 should arrive no earlier than 2013 and take advantage of the technical base and platform, the 508.
From the same platform as the Peugeot engineers will create, in the near future, a true family of models: the station, the sedan, the sedan-coupe, the great outdoor. The Peugeot 508 will debut world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show to be held in September. The Peugeot 601 instead mount some engines are already on the 508: the top of the range is the 1.6 turbo 200-horsepower V6 and the 3.0 HDi 275 hp, engine developed by Peugeot-Citroen in collaboration with Jaguar-Land Rover.
