The Duratorq TDCi engine is equipped with Start & Stop system, able to only reduce by 5% CO2 and 10% consumption and offers a maximum torque of 270 Nm between 1750 and 2500 rpm, which is crucial to handle cars of this size and weights.
Equipped with a particulate filter, the 1.6 diesel is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and can count on the ECOnetic technology, with systems such as Brake Energy Regeneration, active front air intakes and the Eco Mode to indicate dell'ottimale gear shift point. The Mondeo 4-door and 5 door Wagon 1.6 TDCi, declaring an average consumption of 4.7 l/100 km with emissions of 125 g / km, but it is also proposed setting up ECOnetic 115 hp, with gear ratios elongated, specific calibration of engine control unit, low-friction tires and aerodynamic kit: With these changes the consumption down to 4.3 l/100 km, with an average of 114 g / km of CO2.
