Renault will present on Thursday 10 of this month its industrial planning for the next 5 years, Renault intends to keep for sale until 2014 the current Espace and Laguna, to go after to replace them with next-generation vehicle, probably with some SUV or a few crossover, likely to be advanced by some concept.

The new cars will be produced at Renault's Douai, France, whereas the cars Clio Campus, Wind and next-generation Twingo will be assembled in Novo Mesto, Slovakia (which is also assembled the next generation of Smart ForFour). The production and manufacture of battery packs for electric vehicles and who build them, will be located at home in France, since the year 2013 will indeed be assembled in the factory in Flins 100,000 batteries, while the electric motors instead of the third generation will be Cléon products.

80% of Renault cars electric propulsion plants will keep then in French soil, whereas most of the investment (5.7 billion euro) will be used to grow these plants in emerging countries, with the aim to increase sales Renault countries outside the European Union.
