Restyling Lancia Delta at Geneva Motor Show 2011

In the coming weeks, at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 Lancia stand will exhibit the new sedan version of the C-segment adapted to new dictates of co-branding between Lancia and Chrysler, which will be the new direction given to the Delta. The car, in fact, will go on sale in March in markets in continental Europe to the Lancia brand, while in Great Britain and Ireland will arrive a little 'later (Lamet to this year) but will be marked dalmarchio Chrysler.

In this regard, the design element that marks the presence of two brands to be seen in the new grille and front grille, toward which converge in a harmonious lines of the bonnet and wheel arches, a wide lower air intake and projectors with LED daytime running lights. Good interior space thanks to the sliding and reclining rear seat, up to 25 °, to increase the cargo space to boot from 380 to 465 liters.

The displays are provided for four: Steel, Silver, Gold and Platinum. More specifically, the configuration Silver offers, inside, finished in matching leather and fabric Chevron. The set comes with the Gold leather upholstery and Alcantara. The declination Platinum high-end, finally, offers standard leather upholstery "full bloom" Frau, dashboard and center console in leather with stitching done by hand.

Among the special equipment, there will be a Hard Pack Black and Black, with 18 "wheels with matte black paint, shells, mirrors and chrome twin exhaust and paint, pastel-colored non-standard Eclipse Black for the Black Pack, while for Hard Black, taking over the series of the same name launched late last year, the paint is matte black.

The standard device offers the Absolute Handling System (evolution ESP) with Hill Holder system, ASR acceleration skid control and MSR, which regulates the release of the torque in case of abrupt downshifts, the Electronic Damper Control System Reactive Suspension System and the Driving Advisor (between 65 and 180 km / h will alert the driver of the adjustment to involuntary lane line), and the Audi parking system which identifies the actual size of a parking area and helps the driver to perform the maneuver, automatically turning the steering wheel for operating the driver and leaving only the task of intervening on the brake and accelerator.

The range of engines consists of seven engines, all Euro 5 compliant, turbocharged and paired with six-speed gearbox, manual, robotized or automatic. Among the diesel engines, to signal the new 1.6 Multijet 105 bhp and 300 Nm of torque already at 1500 rpm, made in accordance with the design philosophy of downsizing (high power and flexibility with fuel consumption and emissions), coupled with 6-speed manual gearbox, which allows the Lancia Delta to reach 186 km / h and 100 km / h from a standing start in 10.7 seconds.

The 1.6 Multijet 105 bhp is complemented by the well-known 1.6 Multijet 120 bhp (combined, optionally, the Selectronic automatic gearbox), 2.0 Multijet 165 bhp and the more powerful 1.9 Twin Turbo Multijet 190 bhp. The range of gasoline engines includes the 1.4 Turbojet 120 hp (also available to power BiFuel petrol - LPG), the 1.4 140-CVE Multiair the 1.8 Di Turbojet with 200 HP, mated to automatic transmission 6-speed Sportronic.
