Saab 9-3 Griffin: redesign for the range

After the early 9-3 and 9-3 on the next-generation Saab Convertible has formalized the presence in Geneva of the range with the updated version of Griffin. The look is definitely more fresh and modern thanks to the lifting of measures which have benefited from the Sport Sedan, SportCombi, Convertible and the 9-3X.

The new range will go on sale in Italy in June. Distinctive elements emphasized by the new front bumper fog types "ice block", already on the new 9-5 sedan, and the Griffin badge on the front of the side again. Revised the interior with special effect with titanium and graphite, new fixtures and new finishes in brushed aluminum.

The displays are provided and standard Aero. Under the hood 2-liter gasoline engines with 163 and 220 horsepower direct injection, variable valve timing and twin scroll turbocharger. The two versions can be ordered with front-wheel drive or full system Saab XWD. In combined cycle fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced by an average of 4 percent for the whole range.

Motors alongside the current turbo diesel TTiD 130, 160 and 180 horsepower, have emissions of 119 g / km CO2 for the SportSedan while adopting a special tuning of the engine also emits 119 g 9-3 SportComni / km of CO2 with combined fuel consumption of 4.5 l/100 km. There are also variations BioPower engine compatible with bioethanol E85 fuel for both units while the six-speed gearbox became standard throughout the range of engines.
