Saab 9-3: the restyling is called Griffin

Saab presents the 2011 Geneva Motor Show to celebrate its first year of independence from the battleship GM and new life with Spyker. An event celebrated with a special model, the Saab 9-3 Convertible Independence Editionrealizzata in only 366 copies (one for each day of the year more than to usher in the second year of "freedom").

But the most succulent is represented Griffin dall'inedita range of 9-3. A facelift that involves all models 9-3: Sports Sedan, Sport Hatch and Convertible. Finally, baptism is also held in Geneva, the new 9-5 SportCombi. Griffin's new range, available from next June, expects a new design that involves mainly the bumper and headlights.

On the front you can see the new trapezoidal air intake in relief, the Griffin are written on the sides of the front fenders and the rear, the manufacturer's logo has given way to the word "Saab" stylized. Appears on the end of the trunk of the sedan instead a small spoiler. The wheels are available with 16 ", 17", 18 "(standard on Aero versions) and 19".

The interiors are Aero Griffin and Griffin, featuring inserts with titanium paint or graphite. Other new features include the engine, with the 2.0 BioPower E85 bioethanol to petrol stations by 163 and 220 hp with direct injection, variable valve timing and turbocharger. Their characteristics have reduced consumption by an average of 4%.

Unchanged, however, the turbodiesel 1.9, 130, 160 and 180 hp. The pull is on the front wheels or full XWD. 6-speed gearbox with manual or automatic.
