Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCT: dual-clutch gearbox with paddle shift

What is new for 2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta is the inclusion of dual-clutch gearbox TCT, which will be introduced in the 1.4 engine MultiAir Turbopetrol 170 hp. This new combination will be present at booth Alfa Romeo's upcoming Geneva Motor Show to be held March 3 to 13, 2011. What is the double clutch TCT: it will drive down consumption data to 5.2 liters per 100 kilometers traveled with emissions of 121 grams per km, this variant for the 170-hp turbo MultiAir.

Fiat Powertrain Technologies has chosen to adopt the mechanics of the double clutch to dissipate energy during gear changes and contribute to that energy loss during the friction drive. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCT is also equipped with paddle shift gear change, which allows you to change gears without taking your hands off willingly.

The dual-clutch had already been used successfully on the Myth in the future it is likely that we will also see the version 2.0 JTDM 170 hp.
