Fiat Mirafiori get the money to

Won the referendum at Mirafiori, Fiat has kept its promise, giving the green light to the allocation of € 1.3 billion for the Turin plant, where starting in 2012 will come out about 280 thousand cars per year, or the compact SUV Alpha Romeo and Jeep. For Alfa Romeo SVU will be the first ever of its history, the car should be guided by the Kamal concept presented in the "far" 2003.

The shapes of Kamal remain quite current and meet some of the stylistic features typical of today's Alfa, the proiduzione is estimated at about 130,000 units per year. However, we have certainty about technical aspect and, therefore, expect the first spy photo to get some confirmation. As for the Jeep model, however, it will be a new crossover that will replace the current Compass and Patriot, which will be produced at 150,000 units annually.

Of the total 280,000 units, 140,000 will be allocated to the European market and 140,000 to the rest of the world. The platform development will be developed by the Compact Wide Chrysler from that of the new Juliet. Once the two new SUV on the market will go up against two queens of the market, Audi Q5 and BMW X3, not to mention the Mercedes GLK.
