Geneva 2011: Irmscher shows electric roadster concept

On the occasion of the 81st Geneva Motor Show (1st-13.3. 2011) presents the 7 Selectra Irmscher, a work based on the Irmscher 7 electric roadster concept that achieves a pure electric range of 200 km. Irmscher followed by the electric-roadster concept aims to battery management, motor control, security and surveillance technology to present a holistic approach.

The design allows the drive to evaluate the performance values a dynamic driving which need fear no comparison with classic sports cars. On the mid-engined like "weight balancing" with rear-wheel drive contributes significantly to driving pleasure. In addition to this dynamic interpretation, but also "economic" driving modes are selectable.

The 144V DC motor provides supply, thanks to intelligent engine control to 175 kW. It is short, a torque of 800 Nm. Another highlight is the electronic charge management, including the batteries. Batteries and electronics can be cooled liquid for racing. The lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePo) of the latest generation are very robust and allow thousands of loading and discharge.

Irmscher plans to introduced technology support Irmscher 7 Selectra to build in series. The target price is less than EUR 90 000.
