At the Geneva Motor Show 2011 Toyota iQ will present the prototype of electricity. In fact it is already an almost final version since the first prototype electric iQ, FT-EV II, has already spent a year and a half. In the stand over to the new Toyota iQ will find the Yaris electric Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) concept, the FT-86 II concept and the Prius +.
The Toyota iQ has power lithium-ion batteries located under the floor and unable to have a range of 105 km. The first tests of the Japanese city car will take place at the end of 2011 and commercialization is expected by the end of next year. The electric Toyota iQ will be launched in the U.S.
market, as the Scion, and Japanese leaders are also considering the possible entry of their city cars with zero impact on other markets.
