Gumpert Tornante by Touring: the 700 horsepower GT

Commissioned by the German Gumpert, the body has achieved Milan Touring Superleggera by Touring Tornante, a two-seater coupe that will be exposed Geneva Motor Show: the final version that will raise some interest after it was circulated only a sketch. The hairpin is the first creation that is part of a new segment that its creators have called Fast Tourer or a car faster and more efficiently than conventional coaches.

The lines of the back are not revealed by the one sketch but announced the opening of the doors should be gullwing. The engine is accessed by opening a double-hinged hood that covers the center of the rear wheels. The body is made of composite material fixed on a mesh of steel-chromium molybdenum central monocoque carbon fiber.

The engine in the center is the V8, which equips the Gumpert Apollo, a 4.2 liter 700 horsepower twin turbo which could also be further strengthened gearbox is mated to TT40e, secondary to that of Apollo, using paddles mounted on the steering wheel .
