Four years after the last experience with a Golf Journal (then modified to deliver 300 hp) Volkswagen will again participate in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring sedan with its two volumes, transformed for the occasion in Golf24 and powered by the 2.5 turbo. In place of the virtuous but unexciting Scirocco methane is then given an exaggerated and showy car as the Golf W12, equipped with the 5L amended up to deliver 440 hp and 540 Nm of torque.
A lot of exuberance was held on a leash by the permanent four wheel drive and a six-speed sequential gearbox. Noteworthy too is the aerodynamic package, with aerodynamic spoiler and oversized. The 24 Hours of Nurburgring race will be between 23 and 26 June.
