Mercedes C 63 AMG Black Series Coupe

Mercedes has released the first official pictures of the C 63 AMG Black Series Coupe, the third model belonging to the Black Family Series that will be offered from January 2012. This sporty style is recognizable by its dedicated package, with more generous air intakes, hood "pierced", strips larger sills and new rear spoiler as much as to the front.


There are also alloy wheels 255/35 R 19 285/30 R 19 front and rear, while the aesthetic benefits from the wide track front and 7.5 to 4 cm at the rear wheel with 5.6 and 8.4 also fetched cm. The C 63 AMG Black Series Coupe is powered by the V8 engine, 6.3 M156, here in version 517 hp at 6,800 rpm and 620 Nm of torque.

The eight-cylinder engine weighs 196 pounds and provides excellent performance, with a 0-100 km / h in 4.2 seconds. AMG engineers have taken to install new forged pistons, connecting rods and lighter crankshaft and from SLS, a new control unit and an oil cooling system with a surface area increased by 50%.

Changes also the transmission AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed, now equipped with a double instead of a dry clutch in oil bath. The change responds to four logics of use and ensures fast gear changes up to 100 m / s. The search for maximum traction is carried out by a rear limited-slip differential, which respects the wishes of the ESP.

The latter mode can be configured in ESP ON and ESP Sport Handling Mode OFF. All too new braking system with discs 390 mm front and 360 rear. The cabin provides only the front seats, supplied by Recaro, although there are as standard accessories "playful" as the TFT screen, automatic air conditioning, an audio system with eight speakers and Bluetooth connectivity and USB.

Will be available as an option package and AMG AMG Track Package Aerodynamics. The first consists of specific Dunlop tires and a new cooling system for the rear differential, while the second adds carbon fiber components and a fixed rear spoiler. The Mercedes C 63 AMG Black Series Coupe consumes 2.12 liters of diesel per hundred kilometers and will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show (15-25 September).
