Kia: new voices on the future of sports

The first rumors about a series of unexpected patterns emerged in Kia signed sports network only yesterday, but today there's confirmation and further details of plans for the ambitious Korean company, which launched the whole it seems a remarkable plan for growth. The appetizer of the new Kia sport, it was said yesterday, will be a rear-wheel drive concept sedan waiting at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and comparable to models like the new Mercedes C-Class Coupe or a classic like the BMW 3 Series Coupe.

After her, the journey will continue with two other prototypes, the first scheduled for January 2012 Detroit Motor Show, scheduled for the second one in Geneva in March. The manufacturer's sales are still growing, and the time to create something attractive and rewarding even on the image plane is ripe.

Kia now sells about 2.5 million cars a year (twice as much as four years ago ...). As reported today by Autocar, the three concepts will be drawn from the style centers of Seoul, Frankfurt and Irvine (California). In addition to the coupe which was discussed above, there is room for a front-wheel drive two-seater spiderino based on the cee'd future (we were talking about yesterday) and discovered a surprising variation of the Kia Soul, designed especially for the U.S., where the model is proving a great success.

"We have made great progress in recent times, but we need to increase the appeal of our brand," said Hank Lee, to the house. "The prototypes that we are preparing will help us greatly in this respect, but we have no particular hurry. Put to the test many ideas before taking any decision on production."
