Lancia Stratos 2011: Ferrari blocks the production

The fans are waiting anxiously, but the new Lancia Stratos in 2011, created by the will of the German collector Michael Stoscheck, could delay or even never come to production, even in limited release as had been anticipated. The reason may be related to Ferrari, which according to some reports revealed the official site of the project Stratos - but not yet confirmed - seems to oppose the project of a limited series, despite the president Montezemolo said he had excited the car at the time of his trial the track (with an autograph on the frame).

The house of the Horse, in fact, would have given his consent to the use of the F430 Scuderia and encouraged the participation of its partners in the project exclusively for the performance by unit by Stoschek, without the intention to expand the collaboration to a volume more consistent production.

The new Lancia Stratos 2011 is then colliding with the ostracism of Ferrari, which also involves the closest partners such as Pininfarina, who seem unable to offer the provision of the necessary components to the assembly of the 40 samples provided by the project which should bring on the streets legendary sports brand founded by Vincenzo Lancia.

Stoschek said it will be necessary to look to other suppliers, obviously not related to Ferrari, but doubts remain about the success of the operation, even if this unexpected turn of events could only lead to a delay in the arrival of the new Stratos and not to its final abandonment.
