Toyota maintained its leadership among manufacturers

Despite difficulties, the endless series of recalls last year who risked permanently in crisis to the brand image, to the earthquake related tsunamis in Japan, the Toyota group has returned to the top of the list of car manufacturers. Evidently, the typical Japanese stubbornness to rebuild everything with perseverance and sacrifice has paid off, so that the productivity level has returned to pre-earthquake levels, while the sales results of the first half of 2011 indicate a positive trend and Toyota in line with the goal of 1 million veicolivenduti later this year in Europe alone.

The first six months of 2011 were therefore very positive for the group, which recorded a +5% in sales of the Old Continent than in the first six months of 2010, reaching 425,000 vehicles delivered. And the trend could also improve for the second half, when sales should be helped by the arrival of expectation of new generation Yaris, a model that seems to have all the weapons available to compete with its fierce rival in the B segment, where in 2012 also will debut hybrid variant.

The excellent performance of the Toyota brand, then combine the data recording made by Lexus, which showed a significant +31% compared to last year, going to close what could be called a true renaissance, despite the difficulties.
