Geely has brought to the hall of the Shanghai McCar, a project that required two years of work. Neoproprietaria The brand Volvo has come up with a hybrid 4-seater city car that incorporates, in the rear, a 3-wheel electric scooter. The McCar (short for Magic Car) becomes a sort of "docking station" of the scooter fold: it can charge the batteries or use rechargeable batteries and motor scooter itself to increase its power and autonomy.
Imagining a more extended use of McCar, users can travel from the towns with the car and then pull out the scooter for commuting. The car is equipped with a traditional combustion engine and plug-in hybrid, but the project also includes a fully electric version with a range of 150 km, to which add about 30 km of the scooter.
The car has already earned 60 patents and has been designed from the start thinking about mass production.
