Matt Corelli, one of the thousands of motorists at checkpoints attackers

On charges of complicity in robbery, in double murder, resisting a public official and driving while intoxicated, the 19 year old Matt Corelli was arrested after being attacked by two policemen occurred in the early hours of the morning of Monday, April 25, 2011 Sorano in the province of Grosseto. The two soldiers were working at a checkpoint when they stopped a car driven by Corelli and three other people on board, before being beaten with wooden clubs and in the compilation of the minutes of boarding and seizure of the car .

A massacre of unprecedented violence, connected with a certain superficiality to raves and drug use by the attackers, who was definitely not the first case against officers officials by motorists. According to what it refers to data from the "Thin Blue Pikkia" (Centaur / ASAPS), every day six police officers end up in hospital for beatings she received during road checks.

In total, 2010 were 2,079 officers assaulted physically, compared to 1,167 in 2009, a figure nearly doubled that should make us reflect on what ever the state of stress of Italian drivers. Aggression takes place on four armed with sticks, bottles and sharp objects, an attacker is under 10 on the use of drugs and three out of 10 is under the influence of alcohol.

Now expects politicians to assume their responsibility and duty to intervene, why put only 2 police officers to conduct alcohol tests outside of bars and discos frequented by thousands of people it is no longer a safe option.
