Kia Concept at Frankfurt 2011

The South Korean automaker Kia is preparing to face in a big way the next International Motor Show to be held in Frankfurt September 15 to 25. In addition to the redesign of the Soul and the brand new Rio model three-door Kia will unveil a stunning concept car even with four doors. A saloon-style that is very fashionable in recent times, a line that gives a nod to the most sports coupes such as the already established Mercedes-Benz CLS, Audi A7, Volkswagen Passat CC up to the most extreme Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide.

For the Kia is an important experiment on a ground never explored before. Work performed under the guidance of Peter Schreyer, Kia Style Director responsible for the recent renewal of the range. For the moment nothing has transpired on this intriguing concept cars. From the few pictures released are still unable to appreciate his aggressive line.

Pleasant and technology with a touch of yesteryear style represented by the side door opens like a book, much in vogue until the fifties. On the roof, to increase the interior space, there is also a mention of the double hump that has made the new Italian Zagato bodywork. The only "blooms" style seen in the front, where there are original air intakes at the lights.

Stand on the side air vents highlighted by the long whiskers of carbon that also act as sills. Here the lines are straight and ending in massive tail with recessed lights and lower air extractor. As for the mechanics of this prototype, we can only speculate. The engine may come from Hyundai's cousin, so the V8 4.6-liter Tau series already used on the model Genesis.
