The new Opel at the Frankfurt Motor Show: a new concept brand debuts

Opel presents the Frankfurt Motor Show with important new products: Astra GTC, Zafira Tourer, new and unreleased versions Combo Ecoflex. It 'was announced, however, also a novel concept, which for now we only know the main guidelines. This will be an "experimental vehicle that explores a new interpretation of mobility", a phrase that suggests an electrical model of the city, perhaps a foreshadowing of the future junior or even a model is still smaller.


Surely the focus will be on hybrid or electric mobility, as in Frankfurt will also be presented to the public version of the Ampera. Going back to product news, the Astra GTC, you already know the technical details and prices, with petrol and diesel engines from 120 to 180 hp supercharged and prices between 19,600 and 26,100 euros.

The new Zafira, completely revised and called Tourer than the outgoing model, which will remain in production in some versions, offer the same engine, except the 180 hp 1.6 turbo petrol and propose up to 7 seats, safety equipment and accessories with the latest technology generation inherited from the Insignia.

The new Opel Combo appears finally as a clear re-badging operation of the Fiat Doblo, with minor differences in appearance, passenger and cargo versions, and gasoline engines, diesel and LPG bi-fuel from 90 to 135 hp. Finally, the announced the new range include the introduction of the Corsa Ecoflex 1.0 with 109 g / km, the Meriva 1.3 CDTI with 109 g / km, the Astra 1.7 CDTI with 99 g / km, the Insignia 1.4 Turbo (134 g / km and 5.7 l/100 km) and Insignia 2.0 CDTI (115 g / km), in addition to variants of the new Astra GTC and EcoFLEX Zafira Tourer.

In the course of 2012 will be further expanded the availability of start-stop system on these models.
