The Asian manufacturer presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 a new prototype that comes to occupy their niche in the compact SUV segment. Modularity, technology and design are its letter. SsangYong arrives at Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 with a spectacular concept that is far removed from what we are accustomed to the South Korean manufacturer. For now, no name and the brand has only made public in the form of a teaser photo, so we'll have to wait for September 13 to learn all about the prototype.

It is a compact SUV, though he calls himself the very SsangYong CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle), which boasts rounded and futuristic, with a predominance of glass. Prevails in the cockpit and the main open space goodness is modularity. The distribution of places reminds us that this is a SUV to use: 1 +1 +2 and 1 +3.

Also, access to the interior, is facilitated by the addition of sliding doors. Technologically speaking, the information provided, the brand is low, although it suggests that all functions of this model, navigation, control of the car will be unified in a central console and minimalist.

The Korean manufacturer also provides information on the mechanics of the model, although their ecological character is mentioned, so it would not be unreasonable to think of a hybrid-type engine or even electric propulsion. With this model, SsangYong aims to break into the popular SUV segment smaller market, a category that already has several members as the Mini Countryman, the Juke Nissan or Toyota Urban Cruiser.
