Alfa Romeo: delayed landing in the U.S.

It was not until 2013 to see an Alfa Romeo go by an American showroom. In fact, apart from 8C, there is no sale of any of the Alfa Romeo cars in the United States to date. But what are the reasons that have shifted the landing of Alfa Romeo in the U.S. by the end of 2012? One of this is the delay from the House of Arese for the production of Giulia: apparently, sources close to Fiat, Marchionne revealed that it is not at all satisfied with the proposals coming from the center of design Italian style and is awaiting a sedan that best embodies the spirit of Alfa Romeo.

Moreover, it seems that the CEO of Fiat is not at all happy with the design studies for the U.S. overseas sister of Julia, or substitutes of the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. As the two cars will share the floor U.S. (probably the C-Evo platform of Juliet), thrusters and other components with the Italian saloon, this incident will affect the position regarding the production of the model Alfa.

So, fans of the brand can only choose between three models of the now older and have to settle for 159 if they want to opt for a sedan or a station wagon. With the GT, the Brera and Spider discontinued, the price of car Alfa Romeo fell drastically, and only the arrival of the new SUV, expected late next year, will raise the situation.

The latter will be built at Mirafiori and will be processed by the platform of substitute Jeep Compass and Patriot. In the meantime, analysts expect that the arrival of Alfa in the U.S. will produce the initial losses, losses that are going to accompany that resulted from the recent lack of new models and learn from the comparison with other premium brands in the European market.

After the success of Juliet then, the baton passes to Julia, who will be responsible to return Alfa Romeo to America, where latita since 1995 and where he attempts to return since 2000.
