Mercedes introduces the ECO start / stop on the S350 BlueTEC. The 3-liter V6 diesel engine from 258 hp and 620 Nm of torque, the S-Class is equipped with the AdBlue to reduce emissions, so that they already comply with Euro 6 standards in 2014. By adding the Start / Stop system, the average consumption is reduced to 6.2 l/100 km and 164 g / km, compared to 6.8 l/100 km and 177 g / km of the previous version.
For the occasion, the S350 V6 has been upgraded using the manufacturing technology TWAS (twin-wire-arc-sprayed), already used on the V8 AMG and now also available on diesel, allowing a weight reduction of 4.3 kg and a fuel economy forecast to be about 3%. Mercedes S350 BlueTec propose to list the same price as the previous model, in which Germany has offered to 76,517 Euro including taxes.
