Renault Twizy, electricity from 7,000 €

Approaching the time of marketing for the Renault supermini Twizy expected in European markets in early 2012. This small electric car 100% aims to compete with both the city cars and with the scooter, and will be offered at a price of € 6,990, which will add a rental agreement battery of 45 € per month.

Should get the ecoincentivi state, you can begin to consider this small "zero emissions" as a turning point in urban mobility, not least because the battery is fully charged in 3 hours through a normal outlet. The Twizy will be officially approved as a quad, so driveable even by those who lack a driver's license B.

With 2 people in line, total weight of 450 kg and a length of 2.32 m, has excellent acceleration and will be produced in two versions. The most complete can reach 80 km / h thanks to the engine by 20 hp, which will run even on fast roads (not highways). The other hand will be in all respects similar to the microcar already in circulation and may not exceed 45 km / ha compared with a 5 hp motor.

Both have declared autonomy of 115 kilometers, thus sufficient for the majority of motorists every day that they move within the city. The interesting thing is that the same Renault said that the main competitor of Twizy will not be electric cars currently on the market or those that are coming soon, but the Piaggio 3-wheel scooter, quell'MP3 which has substantially the same price sale but does not have airbags and seatbelts, but fitted to the "French girl."
